The Carter Academy Elementary Drama Club, directed by Ms. Nguyen, is open to 1st–5th grade students who have a passion for acting, storytelling, and the performing arts. The club’s mission is to build confidence, character, creativity, and collaboration while introducing students to the world of theatre. Serving as a space for young performers to shine, the Drama Club helps students grow their skills, make lasting memories with friends, and discover the joy of performing together.

From 2023–2025, Drama Club members have proudly represented Carter Academy by competing in the Aldine District Theatre Fest, where they participated in workshops and showcased their talents in categories such as monologues and group scenes. They have also performed in schoolwide productions, including the Winter Program, Black History Program, and the annual Drama Spring Showcase. Beyond the stage, students experience live theatre through field trips to the Alley Theatre’s Christmas Carol and Main Street Theater, making Drama Club a fun, confidence-building program that leaves a lasting impact.
